Reading in Bed

This painting I did after beautiful piece by Deborah DeWitt Marchant, one of my favorite painters. I just did it for myself. (There's a link to her site in my link list.) It's acrylic on canvas... with high solid gel - glossy by Golden. That gel makes it much like a thicker oil painting.

I took yesterday off because I was quite busy making ugly paintings! This is a painting on clayboard (which I've decided I won't use for acrylic anymore... it makes one's life so very difficult!) and I posted a corner of it last month. I was trying to finish this one, but I have just turned it into crap and will have to put it away or just paint over it. I'm sure we all have those kinds of days...
