Labyrinth of Trains

Since Christmas day, our house has literally turned into a labyrinth of railways.  You just have to dodge the tracks in the early am and not be carrying a cup of hot tea. 

Christmas was lovely and we had snow a few days later.  I am ready for the new year and have new ideas brewing for woodcuts and a special painting for a friend...  Happy Monday.

The Waiting

Just a little Andrew Wyeth to help us wait for Christmas.  My daughter keeps telling me it's the waiting that's so hard... and she's getting way to excited to wait anymore.  Happy almost Christmas Eve!!

Winter is Closing In...

I don't seem to have many words lately.  Would rather speak in pictures.
 I've always loved this painting by Breughel.  It's the ultimate winter scene - braving the cold and setting off for a hunt.  Have a lovely Thursday...
