Trees in a Chair Forest

Trees in a Chair Forest, originally uploaded by Tea and Ink.

I made this on my beloved Pfaff felting machine a few years ago. It turned out to be a purse flap for a wool purse (which I now can not find and have never used :( I'm sure it's in a fabric stash somewhere). I should make some new felt stuff... it's been a long time.
Happy Friday!
(Sorry for the slight blur)

Playing at the sink

Playing at the sink, originally uploaded by Tea and Ink.

This is my little girl... a few years ago. She was so little then. Now, she's running the house (almost :) I loved the jumper she was wearing and the toybox design in front of her. Wish there was a way to stretch these years out longer and savor them even more.

Woodblock print with watercolor.

EMP, Seattle

EMP, originally uploaded by Tea and Ink.

We had a quick get-away to Seattle for the past 4 days. It was fun and weird to be tourists in both my and hubby's old stomping grounds... (well close enough for me - we used to take the ferry and go school clothes shopping there, concerts etc).

We took the kids all over... Pike's place, Post Alley, Space Needle, EMP, Seattle Aquarium, Science Fiction Museum and a few other haunts. Full circle moment.

Check out my Flikr for more photos!

The Woodblock Heart Quilt

The Woodblock Heart Quilt, originally uploaded by Tea and Ink.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope you have a great day and have love in your heart... whoever it may be for.

Here is the 'woodblock quilt' I'm hoping to finish it for the May show. We'll see!

Valentine for teacher

Valentine for teacher
Originally uploaded by Tea and Ink

We had so much fun doing Valentine stuff this year... today's the school party. I'm going to be 'story lady' :) It's great to re-live these things. Our kids are ga-ga over 'Yo Gabba-Gabba' right now... hence the few faces in the mix of flowers!

Happy Heart day... kiss the ones you love!

Inky Weekend

Looking up at the Letterpress shop
Did a lot of drawings over the weekend... in prep for the 2 upcoming shows. (my daughter did a lot of drawing too... marker all over her feet, legs and face. too funny!) I've been loving drawing architectural scenes and hope to search out more images to draw. (maybe a good walk downtown... lots of old buildings there).
I have 2 linen art quilts I've blogged about in the past year and am hoping to hastily quilt them to have for the Ruby Slipper show in Spokane. They're throw size (or a bit larger) and I think they'll look great on the wall. Hopefully later in the week I'll post some progress on them!

Fairy Girl

Grandma made this lovely ballerina tutu for our little girl. She loves it so much.... wears it every afternoon and then hangs it on the coat rack 'til she's ready to 'tutu' again. (magic wand and crown to match :) I'm dying over the cute factor. We are heavily into the princess/fairy phase... hope it lasts a long time.
