Messing Around

Messing around... thinking of what to draw for a Christmas card this year.  Searching my Italian Renaissance art books,  I was thinking maybe an angel or two or perhaps a Madonna and Child.  But then, I got distracted by Mr. Sandro Bottecelli's self portrait, staring at me with his magnificent eyes.  He was begging to be drawn:)   His face probably won't make the card this year... but what a face.

Ok, back to the turkey day stuff.  Happy Thanksgiving!!!

amazing nose and eyes. i haven't even managed to send out christmas cards for the past few years and the fact that you tare drawing your own makes me feel like a total slacker!!! hope you are enjoying the long weekend :)

Thank you so much Beth and Gretchen!! The drawing is for a woodcut... but of course I have not carved or printed anything. No need to feel like a slacker:)
