Dream Dive

Here are a few sketchy drawings that sort of poured out of my as a 'free write' would. Trying to tap into more subconscious subject matter as a way to get some ideas for new work. I was surprised to see what spilled onto the paper... I'm hoping to move in another direction this year with subject matter... but, am not demanding it from myself. What are your art plans for the new year?

How wonderful, Brenda! Love the back to back pregnant bellies!! I love your idea of diving into the "resses" (this is the word verification!) of your mind - a rich mine to dig!! My art plans: Yesterday I opened a new etsy shop for my daughter Lisbeth's cut paper designs! I had one sale already! :^) I am determined to be organized and focused on this venture and am making a business plan. I am making a schedule for developing new products and have plans to make stationary, printed tablecloths, napkins, placemats, pillows, and more! Right now I have posted just the long sleeve tee shirts. I will be making a new line of shirts for spring! I'm also teaching 2 classes and doing my own studio work. For my studio practice I plan to get back into printing - my studio building has a BRAND NEW PRINT STUDIO (!!!)with etching press, letter press, total silkscreen set up! And I have 2 commissioned portraits to do next month. I also want to continue a charcoal drawing series of women, past and present. Hey! thanks for giving me the opportunity to write this all down in one place!!! Happy Juicy Creative New Year! xoxo

Hi ladies and thanks for your lovely comments! I have encouragement to go further with these ideas... funny how bloggie friends can do that for a person :)

Hey there Martha,
you are already on fire in the new year! Your energy is inspiring.
